Beadwork is the craft of making things using beads. Most beadwork is used for jewellery or other personal adornment on clothing, but beads are also used in wall hangings and sculpture.
Beads can be threaded on wire or thread, woven together with thread, embroidered to cloth using a needle and thread or stuck to a surface (e.g. fabric, clay).
Beadwork techniques are broadly divided into loom and off-loom weaving, stringing, bead embroidery, bead crochet, and bead knitting.
